Community Service

In addition, all volunteers must complete community service before they leave for their countries.

As we have for the past couple of years, Austin Amigos volunteers will continue to work with students - "Super Quails" - at Wooldridge Elementary School. Volunteers put into practice classroom management, game playing, and curriculum development skills they learn in Chapter Training through a series of workshops held at the elementary school.

In the past, our vols have partnered with The Big Read in conjunction with Austin Community College and the National Endowment for the Arts to promote literacy and the joy of books.
