Fundraising

Because AMIGOS is a non-profit organization and receives no government funding, we rely entirely on contributions from individuals and corporations. Throughout the year, volunteers and their families work hard to raise the necessary funds to send our volunteers to participate in these projects in Latin America.

 
Below are the chapter's two most important sources of raising funds:

• Letterwriting Campaign:
  Each volunteer is asked to compile a list of potential donors, such as family, friends, relatives, doctors, teachers, church members, etc.
  

• Fiesta! Gala:
  This is our main fundraiser held annually in May at Laguna Gloria offering live Latin music, food, drinks and silent and live auctions. This event requires the help of volunteers and families and volunteer attendance is mandatory. For more information, visit the Fiesta page.
